The Diamond Farrier Co. DC2HB Classic Heeled Horseshoe is a size 2 equine hoof protection device constructed from high-quality steel. This steel horseshoe is designed for durability and can be shaped for both front and hind hooves. It typically measures approximately 1/4 inch thick, with a wide web for increased bearing surface and hoof wall support. The full 1/8 inch wide crease allows for deep seating of nail heads, while precision-punched nail holes accommodate city head or slim nails. An increased inside shoe taper helps prevent snow and clay buildup. Built-in sole relief and heel caulks, forged in the horse's line of travel, provide additional traction for rugged environments and sport applications.
