Product Overview
The Dixon Valve 100GTFVI is a 1-inch cam and groove envelope gasket designed for reliable fluid transfer applications. This gasket features an outer envelope of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with an inner Viton (Fluoroelastomer, or FKM) filler. This construction provides excellent chemical resistance and a wide operating temperature range, often from cryogenic lows to +400°F or more, while the Viton filler enhances compressibility for a superior seal compared to solid PTFE, particularly in vacuum systems. It is suitable for demanding environments such as chemical processing, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and other industrial fluid handling systems. Some variants are identified by color-coded stripes for material identification. PTFE components typically comply with FDA 21, 177.1550, and FKM/Viton components with FDA CFR 21, 177.2600, often meeting USP Class VI standards for high-purity applications
