The Dixon Valve 500-DC-BR Cam & Groove Dust Cap, Type DC, is a 5-inch brass fitting designed to prevent dust and debris from entering hoses and to protect the coupling when not in use. It features a Nitrile Rubber (Buna-N) gasket supplied as standard for a secure seal. This dust cap is produced to interchange with all products made to Commercial Item Description A-A-59326D. It is important to note that dust caps and dust plugs are not intended for use in pressure applications for safety and environmental reasons. The product, like many brass items, may contain lead and carries a California Prop 65 warning, advising against use with drinking water and recommending hand washing after handling.
