Product Overview
For projects that require flame retardant shrink wrap material, Doctor Shrink offers it. Unlike standard shrink wrap material which can sustain a flame, Flame Retardant Shrink Wrap Material contains special additives that will extinguish the flame within four seconds of the ignition source being removed. This material may be required for projects where tradespeople are working underneath or inside the shrink wrap. Like standard shrink wrap material, Flame Retardant Shrink Wrap Material is easy to ventilate to eliminate moisture and mildew. Standard shrink wrap material can burn. If heat is applied incorrectly, shrink wrap can ignite into open flame. It can also drop down onto other combustible material and cause secondary ignition and fire. If at any time you observe the shrink wrap on fire, immediately stop what you are doing and carefully inspect the area where you are working for a possible fire. Keep a fire extinguisher available at all times.
