Allow your shrink wrapped boat to breathe with self-adhesive vents. Self-adhesive vents are used to create a waterproof vent in a shrink wrap cover. This allows airflow under the cover, which reduces moisture buildup without compromising the integrity of the cover. The top removes effortlessly to make installation easier. The scalloped edges have raised walls that allow for either vertical or horizontal installation. Vents sold individually. Note: To ensure vents stick properly, make sure to apply them to warm shrunk film. During long periods of storage, your uncovered boat is susceptible to damage from a number of sources rain, snow, blowing dirt and debris, bird nests and droppings, UV radiation and rodents. While a conventional cover or tarp offers your boat some protection from the elements, only a shrink-wrap cover gives it 100% waterproof protection, is impossible to blow off and can withstand heavy loads of snow or rain. The Shrink Wrap System is comprised of four components: Shrink Wrap Material, Self Adhesive Vents, Shrink Wrap Tape and Woven Strapping. First-time shrink wrappers will also need the Heat Gun Kit which is a one-time purchase that may be used again, year after year. The Heat Gun Kit includes all the tools you need to wrap your boat, including a propane heat tool with 25 ft hose and regulator, safety gloves and glasses, shrink-wrap cutting knife, complete written instructions and instructional CD. We also recommend purchase of the Rebag Recycling Kit for environmentally sensitive disposal of used Shrink Wrap material at the beginning of the boating year. Select the amount of Shrink Wrap Material you need according to the chart at right. You will also need one roll of 3/4" x 300 ft Woven Cord Strapping, one 180 ft roll of Shrink Wrap Tape, at least four self-adhesive air vents, ten 3/4" Strap-Tightening Buckles and, as suggested, one prepaid Rebag recycling kit. Shrink Wrap Tape is for installation of vents, doors and repair of holes. It may be purchased in 2" or 4" widths, with at least one 180 ft roll recommended. We also recommend purchase of at least one roll of 2" x 108 ft Preservation Tape, used to seal the Shrink Wrap Material against your boat s hull. It features easy removal and is residue free.
