Product Overview
The Dr. Shrink DS-LWTANK-11 is a lightweight composite propane tank designed for safe and efficient storage of liquid petroleum gas. Constructed with a 3-layer composite fiberglass and an internal bladder, this tank is approximately 50% lighter than traditional steel cylinders. It features an 11 lb (2.62 gallon) propane capacity and a translucent design that allows for visual monitoring of the fuel level. The tank is non-corrosive and rust-resistant, making it suitable for marine, RV, camping, and other outdoor applications. Equipped with an ergonomic handle for easy transport and stacking, it also includes a Type 1 valve. The cylinder is DOT and TC approved, with a 5-year initial certification period and a 15-year useful life. Measuring approximately 15.1 inches in height and 12 inches in diameter, it is engineered to prevent Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosions (BLEVE) in fire incidents, instead allowing for controlled LPG release.
