Product Overview
Durvet, Inc. 001-DME1030 Iron-100 Injectable Iron Dextran Solution is a sterile solution formulated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia in baby pigs. Each milliliter contains 100 mg of elemental iron, stabilized with a low molecular weight hydrogenated dextran, and includes 0.5% phenol as a preservative. This solution is administered via intramuscular injection to provide essential iron, which is critical for healthy growth and disease resistance in nursing piglets whose mothers' milk provides insufficient iron. It helps to reduce losses and promote optimum health by rapidly supplementing iron stores. This product is supplied in a 100 mL multidose vial.
