The E-Z Weld Inc. CL-2 PVC Cleaner is a clear, fast-acting solvent blend formulated to prepare PVC, CPVC, ABS, uPVC, and styrene pipes and fittings of all schedules and diameters for solvent welding. This cleaner effectively removes oils, grease, and dirt from surfaces to ensure strong, leak-proof bonding prior to primer and cement application. Supplied in a 1-gallon (128 fl. oz.) can, the water-thin formula meets ASTM D2564 standards and is suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 110°F. It can be applied using a separate dauber or cloth to pipe and fitting surfaces, and is then wiped off with a dry cloth, leaving a clean, dry surface for subsequent steps in the joining process.
