The ECO-FLO Products MAS100 is a 1-inch nominal size steel male insert adapter designed for connecting flexible plastic tubing to male iron pipe (MIP) threads. This fitting features a barbed insert end, which provides a secure mechanical connection with polyethylene (PE) or PVC pipe when used with appropriate clamps. The other end is a male National Pipe Thread (NPT) for threaded connections. Used in a variety of plumbing applications including water well systems and irrigation, this steel adapter facilitates a durable transition between different piping materials and connection types. Such plumbing fittings are generally manufactured to be lead-free to comply with Safe Drinking Water Act requirements for potable water applications, and are often zinc-plated for corrosion resistance.
