The 1690 Series concealed vertical rod touchbar exit device is designed for narrow stile metal doors where smooth operation and clean appearance are required. Measuring 48" in length, this device is suitable for doors 84" in height and 1-3/4" thickness. It is made up of Aluminium and features a satin aluminum clear finish that coordinates with commercial hardware, while concealed mounting fasteners maintain a refined look on the egress side. The pushbar height is 2-1/2" with a projection of 3-3/8" in neutral position and 2-3/8" when dogged. Standard top SU latch and bottom hex bolt ensure secure engagement along the door edge. The kit includes 84" standard vertical rods, extendable up to 120" for taller door configurations. It also features hex key dogging for hold-open convenience and black powder-coated metal end caps for added stability.
