Product Overview

The MA Series apartment corridor mortise lock pairs a zinc dichromate plated steel lockbody with a satin stainless steel exterior finish for dependable corridor use. It uses a 2-3/4" backset and accepts door thicknesses from 1-3/4" to 1-7/8". A two-piece stainless anti-friction latch provides a 3/4" projection, complemented by a 1" stainless deadbolt with free-turning roller pins for saw resistance. The armored front measures 1-1/4" width x 8" height and adjusts for door bevel, while the non-handed strike matches ANSI A115.1 frame preparation. Conventional cylinders are drilled for six chambers and shipped pinned five with a "G" keyway; SFIC uses an "A" keyway. The assembly is ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 and UL listed for 3-hour fire doors with an A label, and handing can be reversed without opening the chassis case.
