The oil pressure gauge is among the necessary gauges on your boat to measure and monitor the water pump and impeller - a crucial monitoring tool to prevent overheating the outboard engine. It measures the condition of both fluid and gas specified by the force or pressure exerted. Depending on the type of water vessel, standard water pressure may vary. The minimum pressure of WOT or a wide-open throttle should ideally measure around 12 PSI to 15 PSI. In this case, getting 30 PSI is an indicator of a low engine pressure.
