The Newport SS range of nautical gauges is designed to be the next Modern Retro. This retro-style gauge incorporates the latest fog resistance technology. With perimeter lighting, day/night reading is a breeze. Pitot tube speedometers work by applying pressure to the pitot tube when water is pumped into it. This pressure is then conveyed to the bourdon tube movement within the speedometer head through flexible tubing and translated to a speed measurement by the movement mechanism.
