Product Overview
Traditional screw that works well with modern installation techniques. Traditionally, flat head silicon bronze screws have been the choice of boat builders for hull planking because of their excellent corrosion resistance below the waterline. But there are well suited for many modern applications as well. With a square drive head, these tapping screws can be easily driven by cordless impact drivers to install interior hardware, assemble cabinetry or give a traditional look to bronze hardware installations. The aggressively cut straight threads provide excellent holding power in pre-drilled holes without the use of a tapered drill bit. Use caution not to over-tighten silicon bronze screws during installation; they are softer than commonly used stainless steel fasteners.
