Product Overview
The Fernco 1001-44RC is a flexible pipe coupling designed for joining 4-inch nominal clay pipe to clay pipe connections. Constructed from elastomeric polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with 300-series stainless steel clamps, this coupling creates a leak-proof and root-proof seal. It accommodates pipe outside diameters (OD) ranging from 4.85 to 5.55 inches, with an internal diameter (ID) of 5.29 inches. The coupling is suitable for non-potable sewer, drain, waste, and vent piping systems, for both above and below-ground installations. It resists chemicals, sewer gases, ultraviolet rays, and fungus growth, and has an operating temperature range of -30°F to 140°F, with a maximum test pressure of 4.3 PSI. Installation is simplified as no primers or glues are required; the clamps tighten with a screwdriver, nut driver, or torque wrench. It conforms to ASTM D 5926, C 1173, CSA B602, and is UPC approve
