The Fernco 1056-64RC flexible reducing coupling is engineered to connect pipes of differing diameters and materials, specifically reducing from a 6-inch pipe to a 4-inch pipe. Constructed from elastomeric polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with a stainless steel shield and clamps, this coupling is compatible with cast iron, plastic (PVC), copper, steel, or lead piping. It ensures a secure, leak-free connection for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems, accommodating misalignment and movement. The shielded design provides additional strength, rigidity, and improved pipe alignment. This 1056 Series coupling operates within a temperature range of -30°F to 140°F (-34°C to 60°C) and has a maximum test pressure rating of 4.3 psi. Installation requires 60 in-lb of torque. It complies with ASTM C1173, ASTM D5926, CSA B602, and is UPC approved for below-ground
