Overview:
The Defender 4-7/8 in. Armored Security box strike is constructed of steel and it comes in a brass-plated finish. It features a 1 in. deep box with a 3/4 in. width x 1-5/8 in. height rectangular opening on the faceplate and it comes with four 2 in. zinc plated screws. Base plate of this high-security box strike installs with two screws that insert through the base of the box to secure directly into 2 in. x 4 in. framing. Another pair of screws insert through the finished faceplate, the secondary base plate and fasten into the doorjamb. This armored security strike will add increased security to the weakest point of a locked hinged door, providing ease of mind while present, or away from home or office. Some mortising will be required for complete installation. Included with this item are the installation screws, one zinc-plated box strike and one brass-plated faceplate.
