Fiebing Company Inc. 088-30065 Pure Neatsfoot Leather Oil is a 100% natural preservative for leather goods. This product is rendered and purified from the shin bones and feet of cattle, making it rich in natural fats and oils, predominantly oleic and palmitic acids, which help keep leather soft and supple. It functions by penetrating deeply into leather fibers to replace evaporated natural oils, conditioning, softening, and preserving the material while enhancing water resistance and preventing drying and cracking. Pure neatsfoot oil remains liquid at room temperature, allowing for easy absorption. It is suitable for leather articles subjected to rugged use and outdoor exposure, such as saddles, boots, tack, and other smooth leather products. This 1-gallon volume is intended to restore and maintain the quality of leather. Note that pure neatsfoot oil can darken leather, particularly lighter shades.
