Our 3M Fire Barrier Packing Material PM4 is designed and fully approved as an alternative packing material to mineral wool, fiberglass and backer rod in UL-listed through-penetration 3M firestop systems. Strong, flexible and non-combustible per ASTM E 136, this non-asbestos mold-resistant material is fully portable and can be installed without tools. Its woven construction is less irritating to the skin when compared to conventional mineral wool commonly used in firestop applications. In addition, it is packaged so users can easily transport it to any job location and carry it directly to the application site.
