It blocks the wind, keeping the flame focused on the cooker, maximizing heat transfer and ensuring you can achieve the highest cooking temperatures. It's perfect for blustery days as well as cold-weather cooking. Constructed of heavy-duty stainless steel, the wind helmet was designed and fabricated exclusively to fit all FireDisc cookers. And, it folds flat for portability and storage (it tucks conveniently under the FireDisc fireman red cover). Hinges are piano-style with stainless-steel pin. Does not fit and/or work with other brands. The Wind Helmet will only work with FIREDISC cookers.
