The 3/4 in. Tectite by Apollo Push-To-Connect x Push-To-Connect x Female Pipe Thread Expansion TankTee is the fastest and simplest way to install a thermal expansion tank to potable water piping systems connection to copper, CPVC, PE-RT and PEX pipe without the use of tools, solder, open flame or glue. The female threaded outlet is ideal for the installation of thermal expansion tanks. After applying the appropriate thread tape to the cold water male inlet on the top of the water heater, screw the TankTee into place until hand tight. Tighten slightly with pliers to ensure a leak free seal. Screw the expansion tank directly to the TankTee after applying thread tape. To finish the project simply insert the pipe into the push-to-connect to allow the high-strength stainless steel teeth to grip the pipe securely against the specially designed O-ring. Fitting removal and reuse is just as simple using a simple demount clip (sold separately). After assembly, fittings may be rotated for simpler installation in tight spaces. All Tectite by Apollo fittings are approved for use in both potable water and hydronic heating piping systems.
