Groco's Bronze Slotted Hull Strainers feature patented Access Doors that allow easy access to the thru-hull to clear debris and marine growth that can hamper performance and even cause premature failure in water pumps and exhaust systems. Eliminating the need to haul boats out of the water, these strainers can save enormous amounts of time and money in the event of an accident or emergency which requires immediate servicing of the strainer itself. Bronze strainers have an outer surface that is rough in feel and appearance, almost like it s covered with sand. That s because bronze strainers are sand cast, and then machined. Bronze is known for excellent resistance to harmful corrosion.
