The Kidde Wireless AC Powered Smoke Alarm makes it easy to expand the coverage of a current interconnected system. Simply replace one interconnected smoke alarm with the Kidde Wireless AC powered alarm. Kidde Wireless Battery Powered Smoke Alarms can be installed in additional rooms that need extra protection. This AC powered alarm bridges a home™s current interconnected system to the newly installed alarms, so that when one alarm is triggered, all alarms will sound.
- Smoke detector requires hardwire installation
- 9-Volt battery backup provides protection during power outages
- 10-year limited warranty
- Alarm can also interconnect with RF-SM-DC (sold separately) via radio frequency, providing an interconnected system without the inconvenience of rewiring your home
- When one interconnected unit sounds, it will trigger all other interconnected alarms, giving families more time to escape
- Only one RF-SM-ACDC unit is required per interconnected system; do not install more than one RF-SM-ACDC in any one system to avoid nuisance alarms
- Smart touch button temporarily silences nuisance alarms, low battery chirps and tests the operation of the unit and interconnected units
- Unit also includes a low battery warning utilizing a brief alarm chirp every 30-40 seconds for a minimum of seven days
- Ionization sensor may detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms
- Interconnect is not required; this alarm also functions as a stand-alone smoke detector
- *Check with your state and local fire and Building/Safety codes for specific information regarding smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarms.
- Smoke detector utilizes an ionization sensor to detect fire hazards and sounds an 85 db alarm when a hazard is detected
