Harken s precision winches are extremely reliable and exceptionally efficient. They stand up to the rigors of ocean racing, but will serve you well wherever you sail. They feature more bearings than comparable winches and have wide diameter spindles to minimize friction, which makes sailing easier, safer and more fun. Built to very fine tolerances, these winches feature large roller bearings on most gears and drive shafts. Use single-speed winches for sheets on small boats and for halyards on medium and large boats. They also perform a variety of control functions on many boats. High-load carrying gears and caged roller bearings are made of 17-4 PH stainless for maximum strength, durability and efficiency. Winch drums is made of black Hardkote anodized aluminum. Harken warranties its winches against defects in materials and workmanship for three years from date of purchase.
