A Hart & Cooley 8SC round all-fuel storm collar is an essential component for prefabricated chimney systems, designed to provide a watertight seal where the chimney pipe penetrates the roof. Installed directly above the roof flashing, this collar diverts rainwater, melted ice, and snow away from the chimney pipe, preventing water penetration into the structure. As part of the Hart & Cooley TLC All Fuel Chimney System, it is typically constructed from 304 stainless steel, offering high corrosion resistance suitable for use with appliances burning solid, liquid, or gas fuels under natural draft conditions. This 8-inch diameter storm collar requires sealing of its upper edge with a high-temperature silicone sealant to ensure optimal weatherproofing and protect the chimney system and surrounding roof from water damage.
