The HES 9400 Series electric rim strike, model 9400-LBM-612, is a slim-line, surface-mounted device designed for access control with rim exit devices that feature up to a 1/2-inch Pullman latchbolt. This HES strike operates on dual voltage 12 or 24 VDC, with field-selectable fail-safe or fail-secure operation. Constructed from stainless steel with a Satin Bronze (BHMA 612 equivalent) finish, its 5/8-inch thick housing mounts directly onto the door frame without requiring any cutting. It includes a latchbolt monitor (LBM) to signal the physical engagement of the latchbolt. The strike meets ANSI/BHMA A156.31 Grade 1 standards with a static strength of 1,500 lbs, dynamic strength of 70 ft-lbs, and an endurance of 500,000 cycles. It is UL 1034 burglary-resistant listed, UL 294 and UL 305 listed, RoHS compliant, and suitable for outdoor use. This model is not fire-rated.
