This Hillman Fasteners (MPN 1042403) coarse thread drywall screw is designed for securely fastening gypsum board to wood studs and other wood framing materials. Constructed from hardened carbon steel, it features a #6 diameter and a 1-1/4" length. The screw incorporates a bugle head, which allows it to sit flush with the drywall surface without tearing the paper, and a sharp point for easy penetration without pre-drilling. Its coarse threads provide superior holding power in wood-to-wood and drywall-to-wood applications, including interior wooden decks. The black phosphate finish offers moderate corrosion resistance and enhances adhesion for joint compound and paint. It is driven with a Phillips #2 drive.
