The Hillman Power Pro Self-Drilling Lath Screw, MPN 116133, is engineered for fastening lath, metal, wood, fiberglass, or plastic materials. Featuring a self-drilling point, it eliminates the need for pre-drilling in thin and heavier gauge metals, enabling efficient installation. This screw incorporates a modified truss head, also known as a truss washer head, which provides a wide, low-profile bearing surface to distribute clamping force over a larger area and achieve a clean finish. The Star drive (also referred to as Torx) minimizes cam-out and slippage during tightening. Constructed from carbon steel, this #8 diameter, 3/4-inch long screw is zinc-plated for moderate resistance against rust and corrosion. It is commonly used for attaching metal lath to wood or light-gauge metal studs in stucco and plaster applications, as well as for general metal-to-metal and metal-to-wood fastening tasks.
