Product Overview
This Hillman Fasteners (MPN 41890) self-drilling screw features a hex washer head and an integral steel-backed neoprene washer. Designed to create its own pilot hole and tap its own threads, it eliminates the need for pre-drilling in various materials, including thin-gauge steel, wood, and fiberglass. The hex washer head provides a broad bearing surface and facilitates a secure drive, often using an external hex driver. The steel-backed neoprene washer forms a watertight seal, helps prevent corrosion, dampens vibration, and distributes load while preventing over-compression.
