Product Overview
This Hillman Fasteners 47211 self-drilling screw features a hex washer head, designed for efficient fastening without the need for pre-drilling. Constructed from steel with a zinc-plated finish, it provides moderate corrosion resistance suitable for indoor and light outdoor applications. The #10 diameter by 1/2-inch length screw has a self-drilling point, typically a #2 Tek point, which drills, taps, and fastens in one operation. Its hex washer head provides a larger bearing surface to distribute load evenly and prevent pull-through, compatible with a 5/16-inch hex driver. These screws are ideal for attaching metal to metal, metal to wood, and light gauge sheet metal, meeting IFI-113 and ASTM C954 standards. Each box contains approximately 221 screws.
