The Hillman Fasteners #47749 deck screw is a #6 diameter, 2-inch long fastener constructed from steel with a galvanized finish, designed for securing decking boards and other exterior wood structures. Its galvanized coating provides excellent corrosion resistance, exceeds a 250-hour salt spray test, and helps prevent staining of wood, making it suitable for pressure-treated lumber including ACQ, CA, and CCA treated wood. The square drive head reduces cam-out during installation, and the screw's design, often featuring a sharp point and coarse threads, allows for effortless countersinking and typically requires no pre-drilling. It offers superior hold-down power and includes a free driver bit. This product is backed by a lifetime limited warranty against rust and corrosion.
