The Hillman Fasteners #48370 Fas-n-Tite drywall screw is designed for securing gypsum board, such as drywall, sheetrock, or wallboard, to wood or light-gauge metal studs. Constructed from steel, these #8 gauge screws feature a 2-1/2 inch length and a coarse thread for strong holding power. They are equipped with a #2 Phillips drive and a bugle head, which allows for a flush or countersunk finish into the material. A black phosphate coating provides moderate corrosion resistance and enhances the adhesion of paint and drywall compound. These screws are supplied in a 1 lb box and conform to ASTM C1002 standards.
