The Hillman Fasteners model 48824 Deck Plus deck screws are #10 gauge, 2-1/2 inches long fasteners engineered for exterior wood, composite, and trim applications. These screws feature a flat-head style, also known as a bugle head, which is designed to sit flush with the material. They utilize a star drive (Torx) to prevent cam-out during installation. Constructed from carbon steel, each screw is protected with a 4-layer brown epoxy coating for superior rust and corrosion protection, ensuring compatibility with ACQ, CA, and CCA treated lumber. The coarse threads and a self-drilling point typically eliminate the need for pre-drilling in most materials. This product is supplied in a 1 lb box and often includes a T25 star bit.
