The Hillman Fasteners 48848 Deck Plus exterior deck screw is designed for securing exterior wood, composite, and trim materials. Featuring a #10 diameter and 2-1/2-inch length, this screw is constructed from carbon steel with a black epoxy coating for superior rust and corrosion protection, ensuring durability with ACQ, CA, and CCA treated lumber. The flat head style sits flush with the material surface, while the star drive (Torx) reduces camout during installation. Its coarse threads and self-drilling point (Type 17) eliminate the need for pre-drilling. These screws are supplied in a 5-pound box, typically containing around 365 pieces, and often include a compatible T25 driver bit.
