The Hillman Fasteners Power Pro structural lag screw, model 48940, is a 1/4 inch diameter by 6 inch long fastener designed for heavy-duty timber construction and wood-to-wood applications. Constructed from carbon steel with a multi-layer bronze epoxy coating, it offers enhanced corrosion resistance and is compliant with ACQ treated lumber. This screw features a low-profile dome head with an imprinted depth code for post-installation inspection and is driven by a Star Drive system for increased stability and reduced cam-out. Its Type 17 self-drilling point with serrated threads and diamond shank allows for faster installation without pre-drilling, reducing drive friction. The dual lead thread design further aids in quick penetration and secure holding power. It is building code approved with ICC ESR-4017 certification and AC257 treated lumber certification, making it suitable for both interior and exterior use. This product is supplied in a box of 50 pieces.
