Product Overview
The Hillman Fasteners Power Pro Structural Lag Screw (MPN 48944) is designed for heavy-duty fastening in structural wood applications. Constructed from carbon steel with Grade 5 strength, this 5/16" diameter, 3" long lag screw features a low-profile dome head and a star drive for secure installation. Its innovative design includes dual lead, serrated threads and a Type 17 point, enabling fast, self-tapping penetration into wood without the need for pre-drilling. The screw is protected by a multi-layer bronze epoxy coating, providing corrosion resistance and compliance with ACQ and other treated lumber. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use in applications such as deck framing, ledger boards, posts, and beams, and is certified to ICC ESR-4017 and AC257 building codes.
