The Hillman Power Pro Structural Lag Screw, MPN 48948, is engineered for heavy-duty wood-to-wood and wood-to-metal structural fastening applications. This 5/16 inch diameter by 4 inch long screw features a hex head for robust torque transmission and a dome head with an imprinted depth code for post-installation inspection. Its patented design includes a Type 17 point and serrated threads for self-drilling, eliminating the need for pre-drilling and facilitating faster installation. A multi-layer epoxy coating provides corrosion resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, including with ACQ treated lumber. It is building code approved to ICC ESR-4017 and AC257 treated lumber certified.
