The Hillman Fasteners Power Pro 48951 structural lag screw is a heavy-duty fastener constructed from carbon steel, featuring a 5/16-inch diameter and 6-inch length. It incorporates a low-profile dome head with an easy-to-read depth code for post-inspection. The star drive design minimizes cam-out during installation, while the dual-lead, coarse, and serrated threads, combined with a Type 17 self-drilling point, eliminate the need for pre-drilling and allow for quicker installation. A multi-layer epoxy coating in bronze provides corrosion resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, including applications with ACQ and other treated lumber. This screw is building code approved and compliant with ICC ESR-4017 and AC257 certifications, ideal for securing beams, posts, decks, fences, and other structural wood components. It is supplied in a box of 24 pieces.
