Product Overview
The Hillman Power Pro Structural Timber Screw, model 49102, is a heavy-duty fastener designed for wood-to-wood construction and replaces traditional lag bolts. Constructed from Grade 5 carbon steel, it features a 1/4-inch diameter and 2-1/2-inch length. This screw includes a low-profile dome head and a T25 star drive, engineered for secure grip and reduced cam-out. Its serrated structural thread and Type-17 self-drilling point allow for fast installation without pre-drilling. A multi-layer bronze epoxy coating provides superior corrosion resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, including use with ACQ and other treated lumber. It exceeds 1,000-hour salt spray tests under ASTM B117 and is building code approved, including ICC-ESR-4017, AC257, IBC, IRC, Florida, and California Building Codes. These screws are supplied in a box of 45.
