The Hillman Group 49122 Power Pro LumberTite Structural Lumber Screw is a heavy-duty wood fastener designed for wood-to-wood construction applications without the need for pre-drilling. Constructed from Grade 5 carbon steel, it features a multi-layer epoxy coating that provides long-lasting corrosion resistance, making it suitable for both interior and exterior use, including with ACQ and other treated lumber. This 1/4-inch diameter, 2-7/8-inch long screw incorporates a Type 17 self-drilling point with serrated threads for fast engagement and reduced wood splitting. It has a low-profile flat head with an imprinted depth code for post-installation inspection and utilizes a Star (Torx) drive system, typically T25 for this diameter, to prevent cam-out. These structural screws are building code approved, meeting ICC ESR-4017 and AC257 treated lumber certification standards, and are supplied in a box of 45 pieces.
