The Hillman Power Pro Structural Wood Screw, MPN 49138, is engineered for heavy-duty wood-to-wood construction and serves as an alternative to standard lag screws. Constructed from Grade 5 carbon steel, this 1/4 inch diameter by 10 inch long fastener features a hex washer head with a depth code for post-installation inspection and a hex drive for secure torque application. Its proprietary black epoxy coating provides corrosion resistance and is compliant with ACQ and other forms of treated lumber, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications such as framing, decks, landscape walls, fencing, and post and beam construction. The screw incorporates a Type 17 point with serrated threads for self-drilling without pre-drilling, ensuring faster installation. It is building code approved with ICC ESR-4017 and AC257 treated lumber certification. This product is supplied in a box containing 40 pieces.
