The Hultafors SFRP 18A Snap-Off Knife, model 389240U, is an ergonomic utility knife designed for all-round cutting tasks. It features an 18mm wide carbon steel snap-off blade with an auto-lock mechanism for secure blade positioning during use. The handle is constructed from durable polycarbonate with a steel core for stability and includes a rubberized grip for enhanced control. A 1mm thick metal blade rail further reinforces the blade. This knife has a symmetric design, suitable for both right and left-handed users. Functional features include an angled tip for measuring 45 and 90 degrees, and a tail fin that aids in tucking carpets or opening cans. It also incorporates an internal dispenser for storing three spare blades, totaling four blades provided. With an overall length of 178mm and an exposed blade length of 100mm, it is suitable for cutting materials such as plasterboard, insulation, aqua panel, wood, and drywall.
