The M85 is a small, light, and tough radio! Icom's new commercial-grade marine radio, the M85, is the smallest, lightest, and toughest 5-watt radio on the market today that operates on the full spectrum of commercial frequencies of 136-174MHz. The M85 is built to MIL-STD 810, has an IP67 waterproof rating, and can handle tough conditions on sea and land. The programmable multi-function button enables you to switch between marine and land mobile channel groups with ease. With 100 programmable land mobile channels and a built-in voice scrambler for private communications, the M85 is popular among yacht and commercial customers. The M85 also features man-down, man-overboard, and lone worker automatic alarms that can be enabled or disabled by the user. The man-down alarm can be set to trigger if the transceiver leans past 45, 65, or 70 degrees from upright for a preset period. The man overboard alarm will sound when the transceiver is submerged in water, and the lone worker alarm will sound if the transceiver is not operated for a preset period.
