Product Overview
Better for the environment, copper-free Pacifica Plus fights marine growth Pacifica Plus is designed for those seeking a copper-free antifouling paint and is an excellent choice for use where cuprous oxide-based paints are prohibited. Instead of cuprous oxide, the dual-biocide formula uses copper-free Econea to prevent hard fouling and Biolux technology to control slime. With its ablative formula, Pacifica Plus self-polishes as the boat is used. This lowers fuel consumption and helps to reduce the amount of harmful carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide released into the air. With its high-solids formula, the amount of VOCs released into the air is reduced, providing an additional environmental benefit. The self-polishing ablative action of Pacifica Plus also reduces paint build-up, along with the need for sanding at haulout. And because Pacifica Plus uses Econea rather than cuprous oxide as its primary biocide, this paint can safely be used on aluminum hulls, outboards, and outdrives without fear of galvanic corrosion.
