The Irwin IWHT48442 STRAIT-LINE SPEEDLINE Chalk Reel is a hand-held tool designed for marking precise straight lines on various surfaces in construction and layout applications. It features a 100 ft abrasion-resistant polyester line and a 3:1 gear ratio, enabling faster line retraction compared to traditional chalk reels. The reel incorporates a lightweight ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) housing and a robust steel handle for durability. Key design elements include a large fill door for quick and easy chalk loading, a nested hook dock for secure storage that prevents snags, and a new spool design engineered to reduce line jamming, knotting, and fraying. This model is capable of providing 5-6 strikes per pull and can hold approximately 2 oz of chalk. It can also function as a plumb bob.
