The KBI U-1000-T is a 1-inch Schedule 80 PVC threaded union designed to join two sections of PVC pipe, allowing for easy disconnection and reassembly without requiring pipe cuts. Constructed from durable gray Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), this fitting is suitable for cold water pressure systems with operating temperatures up to 140°F (60°C). It typically features Female Pipe Threads (FPT) and often includes an EPDM O-ring for a secure, leak-tight seal. This union conforms to ASTM D1784 for PVC compounds and ASTM D2464 for threaded Schedule 80 PVC fittings, and is frequently NSF approved for potable water applications. Some 1-inch Schedule 80 PVC unions are rated for up to 150 PSI at 73�
