This KDAR Company 28114 male NPT plug is designed to seal or stop flow in threaded pipe systems. Featuring a 1/4 inch nominal pipe size, it incorporates National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads, characterized by a 60-degree thread angle and a taper rate of 1 inch in 16 inches of length to create a pressure-tight seal when used with appropriate thread sealant. Often constructed from materials like steel, these plugs are commonly used in various industrial applications, including air compressor systems, general plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics. This particular plug is bulk packed and is designed for interchangeability with Milton M-style couplers, adhering to military specification MIL-C-4109, with a maximum inlet pressure of 300 PSI and a maximum temperature of 250 degrees F.
