The Knox Company S245L is a screw-in, low watt density water heater element designed for electric water heaters. It provides a primary heating capacity of 4500 watts at 240 volts, with an alternate rating of 3500 watts at 208 volts. Constructed from copper, this element features a low watt density design that reduces mineral scale buildup, extends its lifespan, and improves performance, particularly in hard water conditions. It includes a 1-inch NPS screw-in plug for installation and is UL approved for safety. This element is compatible with water heaters having a minimum tank diameter of 12 inches and is designed to replace standard screw-in elements from various major water heater brands.
