The LA-CO Markal Plasto-Joint Stik (model PJ-1, manufacturer part number 11775) is a polyisobutylene-based pipe thread compound in a convenient 1.25 oz stick form, designed for sealing threaded connections. It effectively lubricates, seals, and prevents rust and corrosion on both plastic (ABS, PVC, CPVC, Nylon, Kralastic, Cycolac) and metal pipe threads. This sealant is suitable for lines carrying water, air, steam, natural gas, oil, gasoline, freon, ammonia, propane, and butane. It can withstand pressures up to 300 PSI for gases and 500 PSI for liquids, and sealing temperatures up to 250°F (121°C). The portable stick design allows for clean, drip-free application.
