Precision engineering creates Lectrotab trim tab actuators, which have a non-hydraulic, maintenance-free design and quiet operation. The unit is completely self-contained for simple installation, ensures extremely accurate tab alignment, and is corrosion-free. The actuator assembly is in a non-metallic enclosure that is hermetically sealed. Inside the boat, there are no parts that need to be installed. Most importantly, there is no oil to leak out, unlike hydraulic trim tabs. The transom mounting bracket on the actuator can be conventional. Actuators are available in 12 and 24 VDC and have a recommended stroke time of 8 seconds or 4 seconds.
